HIGH RIGIDITY TREAD PATTERN

The Bridgestone Ecopia and Bandag FuelTech patterns were specifically designed to control movement of the tread block and ribs, resulting in less deformation and reduction of absorbed energy.

Within the Greatec M835 Ecopia and Greatec R135 Ecopia, a patented wave-shaped strip of steel cords is wrapped circumferentially to maintain a stable footprint and enhance casing stability and durability.

Stone Rejector Platforms

The Greatec M835 Ecopia, Greatec R135 Ecopia, B835 FuelTech and B135 FuelTech feature small, flexible elements at the bottom of the groove, which help reject stones from the tread to help avoid casing-damaging stone penetration.

DEFENSE SIDE GROOVE™

The Bridgestone Defense Side Groove, a feature employed in the R283 Ecopia, combines side groove and defense groove technology to reduce contact pressure while still concentrating braking forces and provide shoulder rib protection.

The new Akron Technical Center in Akron, Ohio, is built to gold-level LEED certification. In addition, all Bridgestone Americas facilities are ISO 14001 certified. Through innovative technologies, we've increased waste recycled per ton in our facilities by 25%. Even better, NO scrap tires from our manufacturing facilities go to a landfill. They are all beneficially reused.

Bandag has a proud history of recycling through retreading. In fact, in 50 years of operation, the Bandag retreading process has saved 4 BILLION gallons of oil.
